Windy City: Part 2

Sunday, our second day in Chicago, began perfectly. Waking up in the hotel was a lot better than pulling an all nighter to travel. We got ready, went downstairs to get breakfast, and walked over to Navy Pier to catch the double-decker trolley. The 2 hour tour around the city gave us a much needed break for our feet.

Trump Tower, 2nd tallest building in the U.S. (it’s the one that blends in with the sky)

Water Tower – one of the only buildings that survived the fire

Buckingham Fountain, planes from the air show

Aqua, Building of the Year in the U.S. in 2009

Start of Route 66

Willis (Sears) Tower, tallest building in the western hemisphere

Nachos from Margaritaville

Best margarita I’ve ever had

The Art Institute of Chicago – we went on the last day to see the impressionist exhibit

I had an amazing time, and I’m already excited to go back at some point. I’ll have to start saving now!
